I am a mathematician working in probability theory. This involves the rigorous analysis of random systems arising in diverse contexts, including learning algorithms, complex networks and the structure of biological populations. A key aspect of my research is understanding tipping points in such systems, where a small change in parameters leads to dramatic large-scale consequences.

Please consult my research page for more details (including simulations!).

I am a member of the Interacting Random Systems group at WIAS, within the DFG priority programme SPP 2265 Random Geometric Systems, and I lecture at TU Berlin. I completed my PhD at the University of Birmingham in 2021, supervised by Nikolaos Fountoulakis and co-supervised by Richard Mycroft. Before that, I graduated from the Bachelor of Philosophy (Science) program at the Australian National University with First Class Honours in Mathematics, supervised by Brendan McKay and co-supervised by Kim Morrison.
